"Two And A Half Cents" ... What is this about?
I figured that I needed some sort of introduction to explain what this blog is about. First and foremost, I love to write. I might not be any *good* but I still find joy in doing so. With this in mind, I am attempting to branch out; to take my writing to the world via a blog. By the compelling of a friend and some acquaintances I bring to you a part of me: Two And A Half Cents.
In coming up with the name, I tried to conjure up a creative spin on an overused colloquialism or cliche ... unfortunately, this was as good as it got. I thought of "Ten Cents ... Because what can you buy with two?", and even "Six Cents." I decided that the title chosen was best because it was a more familiar sounding phrase but still had that curiosity inducing "half cent."
In essence, this blog is basically my thoughts, opinions, and oh yes, ramblings about the things that occupy most of my time: sports (mainly basketball and baseball), music (Hip Hop and R&B), relationships (friends, family, significant others), and pet peeves (like you don't have any). Ergo, I am dividing up each day to a certain category (i.e. Monday = sports, Tuesday = music, etcetera). In theory, I'm working on having a day (most likely Friday) to have a "Grab Bag" -- have questions thrown at me to answer by you the reader or just something random that doesn't have to do with a specific category (i.e. my opinion of Mel Gibson's drinking faux pas or if I can really taste the difference between Lucky Charms and Marshmallow Matees (sp?)).
I'm certain that other ideas will come to mind in time but for my blog's pubescent stage, I say this will suffice. I appreciate all (helpful) comments and ideas. Enjoy!
